We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment with our client in South Dakota. This opportunity begins May 25, 2026, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule with day shifts. Join a small, well-established FQHC outpatient clinic known for its supportive environment and low patient volume. Job Details Location: South Dakota Facility Type: Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Start Date: May 25, 2026 LOA: 120 days Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician Assistant Schedule: Monday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Tuesday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Wednesday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Responsibilities and Duties Provide general outpatient family medicine care to patients of all ages except infants Manage walk-in patients and scheduled visits, averaging 5-6 patients per day No obstetric, infant care, or suturing responsibilities Deliver patient-centered care with flexibility to spend ample time per visit Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EHR Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure quality care and smooth clinic operations Additional Information Must be a nationally certified Physician Assistant with SD license, or compact license if unlicensed in SD Experience in family practice or primary care preferred Board certification not required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
