Central Virginia Health Services is excited to begin another year of the Family Nurse Practitioner Residency Program. The NP Residency Program is a formally accredited, twelve-month, post-graduate residency training program for certified Family Nurse Practitioners working in Primary Care. The program will accept qualified candidates who are committed and passionate about preparing for long term practice within community health centers.
The Residency Program consists of a combination of independent, mentored, precepted, and specialty clinics, in conjunction with didactic learning experiences.

Applicants will be required to have board certification and VA State Licensing prior to the start date in September, 2026.
In addition to the CVHS application, applicants will then need to submit the following required documentation via email to tiffanystewart@cvhsinc.org.

b. Describe why you would like to train at CVHS, as well as your long-term commitment to practicing as a community health primary care provider.
c. What are your goals for a NP Residency Program, including aspirations for both short and long-term career development?
d. In what specific areas of family practice would you like to develop an increased mastery, competence, and confidence in?
